SAMLARC HOSTS SUMMER SWING & SKATE

Full Description:

On Friday, June 2, 2006, SAMLARC will host its second skate night of the year at Skate Central located in Central Park. The theme of this skate night is “Summer Swing & Skate.”

The evening will kick off at 6 p.m. with swing music, games, a caricature artist, raffle prizes including a skateboard donated by Relic, and of course, food provided at a nominal fee from Baja Fresh.

At 7 p.m. special guests from the OC Swing Club will demonstrate a variety of swing dancing routines, including the Beginners Lindy Hop and the Charleston. Following the swing exhibition, participants can join in for a swing lesson with open skate resuming until 9 p.m.

Skate Central is located in Central Park, 30842 La Miranda, Adjacent to the Bell Tower. Bring your roller skates, roller blades and wear your swing attire! Protective gear while skating is also recommended. Skate nights are open to SAMLARC members and their guests. Admission is just $5 per person. Registration information is available at the Beach Club.
