Starr Ranch Offers Junior Biologist Camp This Spring!

Program runs Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in April.

Audubon's 4,000-acre Starr Ranch Sanctuary invites kids 8-12 to join staff biologists in bird research during a four-day Starr Ranch Junior Biologists Spring program.

Junior Biologists will compare songbirds and birds of prey found in small and large habitat patches. They'll have the chance to learn about birds and their habitats as they help scientists with the capture and release birds, field identification, video camera monitoring, and a night-time bird survey.

,b>Three different sessions are offered Wednesdays, April 2, 9, 16 and 23; Thursdays, April 3, 10, 17 and 24; and Saturdays, April 5, 12, 19 and 26. Sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for three days and from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on the last day.

Cost is $80. Group size is limited to 20 per session.
