Full Description:

The Rancho Santa Margarita City Council unanimously elected Jerry Holloway to serve as the City’s eleventh Mayor and Councilman Tony Beall to serve as Mayor Pro Tempore for 2010 at its December meeting.

Holloway thanked his fellow Council Members for the opportunity to serve once again as the Mayor of the City of Ranch Santa Margarita. “A very high standard has been set by very qualified and dedicated individuals,” shared Holloway.

He is a state licensed private investigator and a retired police lieutenant.  Holloway earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Masters Degree in Public Administration, both from Long Beach State University.  Holloway and his wife Ellen, have a daughter named Cortney.

Holloway encouraged residents to get involved in the political process, support federal and state candidates who favor protecting local government revenue and urged residents to speak up about the matters that affect the community.

Tony Beall was first elected to the City Council in October 2004, and served as the City’s Mayor in 2007.

Beall is a licensed attorney and has practiced law in California for the past 22 years. His legal emphasis is in real estate transactions where he has developed an in-depth expertise in matters relating to public and private financing, real estate development and land-use planning. With this expertise, Beall brings a wealth of knowledge regarding public policy decisions to the City Council.  Beall is an Orange County native and has lived in Rancho Santa Margarita with his wife, Jennifer for 20 years.  They have four children:  Andrew, Amanda, Anthony and Alex.
