MADD Presents Prestigious Deuce Award to Deputy Barbour

Drinking and driving is the most common violent crime in our society in that it occurs twice as often as all other violent crimes combined.  The Board of Directors of the Orange County Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving recently honored Deputy John Barbour with the coveted Deuce Award.  The Deuce Award is given for exemplary service to the community in the apprehension of impaired drivers within the last year.

"This is the third consecutive year that Deputy Barbour has received the Deuce Award," shared Lieutenant Stacey Taylor, Chief of Police Services for Rancho Santa Margarita.  Deputy Barbour made 29 DUI arrests in 2009, 26 DUI arrests in 2008 and 26 DUI arrests in 2007.
